Position Summary: We are seeking experienced Medical Coding Supervisors to join our healthcare team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidates will be medical doctors with extensive experience in medical coding. This role requires more than 5 years of professional experience in the field, with a strong preference for candidates who have Australian coding experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the medical coding department to ensure accurate and efficient coding practices.
- Implement and maintain coding guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise a team of medical coders, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Review medical records and coding data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve coding discrepancies and issues.
- Conduct regular audits of coded data to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest coding practices, regulations, and industry trends.
- Prepare and present reports on coding activities and department performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding.
- Australian medical coding experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and ACS coding standards.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using medical coding software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
